제3회 동아시아 철학대회(The 3rd Conference on Contemporary Philosophy in East Asia, CCPEA 2016)가 서울대학교 철학사상연구소 주최로 2016년 8월 19일(금)~20일(토) 양일간 서울대학교에서 개최될 예정입니다.
동아시아 철학대회는 동아시아 지역 철학 연구자들간의 학술 교류와 국제적 연구 협력을 증진시키기 위한 목적으로 2012년 창설되었으며, 매 2년마다 개최되고 있습니다. 2012년 대만 타이페이에서 열린 제1회 대회와 2014년 일본 교토에서 열린 제2회 대회에 이어, 한국에서 열리는 이번 제3회 대회에서는 한국과 일본, 대만, 중국, 홍콩, 싱가포르 등 동아시아 각국의 철학자들이 다수 참여하여 수준 높은 발표와 토론의 장을 가지게 될 것으로 기대합니다.
이번 대회에서 발표를 원하시는 선생님들은 영문으로 작성된 500단어 이하의논문 초록을 3월 6일(일)까지 대회 조직위원회 사무국 이메일(ccpea2016@snu.ac.kr)로 보내주시기 바랍니다. 투고된 초록은 심사를 거쳐 4월 6일(수)에 이메일로 결과를 알려드리도록 하겠습니다.

The 3rd Conference on Contemporary Philosophy in East Asia(CCPEA 2016) aims to bring together philosophers in East Asia to present and discuss their current works. It follows the spirit of the previous CCPEAs held in Taipei, 2012 and in Kyoto, 2014, with the hope that it will facilitate academic exchanges and research collaborations among philosophers working in the East Asian region.

Call for Papers
CCPEA 2016 invites contributed papers and contributed symposia on topics in contemporary philosophy, broadly construed, including the following areas: logic, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, ethics, political philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of religion, Asian philosophy, European philosophy, comparative philosophy, and history of philosophy in contemporary perspective.
Although analytic approaches are preferred, continental and other approaches are also welcomed.
Please submit an abstract prepared for anonymous review as an e-mail attachment to ccpea2016@snu.ac.kr by March 6, 2016.
· Contributed Papers
The abstract for contributed papers must be no more than 500 words and in MS Word (*.doc) or Rich Text Format (*.rtf). Each accepted paper will be allocated 30 minutes (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion).
· Contributed Symposia
The abstract for contributed symposia must be no more than 1,700 wordsin MS Word (*.doc) or Rich Text Format (*.rtf). It should include
(1) a general description of the format and the topic of the proposed symposium and its significance (maximum 500 words), and (2) an abstract of each paper (2-3 papers, maximum 500 words for each).
An accepted symposium will be allocated 90 minutes for presentation and discussion of at least two papers.
